Here’s the latest news and updates from Cove Ridge!

Winter Hours

Winter Office Hours:
Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

2026 Agreement Updates

Updated annual agreements are being sent out today and tomorrow, so please be on the lookout for an email from us. Agreements will be sent to the email address we have on file, so if your contact information may be outdated, now is a great time to check in with us.

If you do not receive your agreement by the end of tomorrow, please give us a call so we can make sure nothing was missed.

If you have multiple items stored with us, you will receive a separate agreement for each item, and each agreement must be reviewed and signed individually.

Please note that these agreements have been updated, and it is very important that each customer reads the entire agreement carefully and signs it in full. We especially ask that you pay close attention to the Insurance section, as this is where the most significant changes have been made. Updated insurance documentation will be required as part of the renewal process.

Insurance documents may be sent by you or directly by your insurance agent to
📧 [email protected]

Our goal is to be clear and proactive now to avoid any confusion down the road. We truly appreciate your cooperation and continued support of Cove Ridge.

A Note on the 2026 Insurance Update

We wanted to take a minute to explain the insurance update for 2026, since we know it’s a noticeable change.

Over the past year, we’ve learned a lot more about marina insurance standards, including attending a dock expo and talking with other marina operators. What we found is that our previous liability requirement was quite a bit lower than what most marinas are now requiring.

The new coverage level brings Cove Ridge more in line with current industry standards and is meant to better protect everyone — not just the marina, but boat owners and guests as well. With rising insurance costs and claims nationwide, higher coverage limits have become pretty common in the marina world.

We know this isn’t an exciting update, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through changes like this. If you have questions or want to double-check that your policy meets the requirement, just let us know.

Payments

Payments made by January 31 will lock in 2025 rates. Beginning February 1, rates will reflect the annual 2% increase for the upcoming season.

Discounts are available for payments made by cash, check, or ACH.

  • ACH payments can be completed through the online portal or over the phone

  • Checks may be mailed or dropped off at the office

  • Cash or check payments may also be brought directly to the office

Gate Code Reminder

Your gate code is the last four digits of the cell phone number on your account (no symbols).

Need help? Log in online or call the office for assistance.

Temporary RV Gate Closure

Due to recent cold temperatures, the pavement at the RV gate has begun to swell, causing the gate to stick. To prevent damage to the gate and equipment, the RV gate will remain closed for now.

Please use the Main Gate until further notice. We’ll reopen the RV gate as soon as conditions improve and it’s operating properly again.

Thank you for your patience and understanding — we appreciate everyone’s help in keeping things running smoothly.

We’re excited to share that storage units are officially in the works at Cove Ridge Marina! Availability will be limited, and members will have first access as units arrive.

Trash Disposal & Marina Maintenance

We provide three dumpsters on-site for your convenience. Please keep the following in mind:

  • All trash must be bagged before disposal

  • Please do not bring trash from outside the campground

  • Oversized items (furniture, large boxes, metal, etc.) are not permitted

  • If dumpsters are full, please do not leave trash beside or on top of them

We also ask for your help with the following:

  • Keep pads clear: Items placed on the grass must be moveable and out of the way when landscapers are mowing

  • Close dumpster doors: Animals have been getting into the trash, so please be sure doors are closed at all times

Let’s work together to keep the marina clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone!

First Annual Bluegrass Festival 🎸

You may not have seen our recent post, so we wanted to share that we’re hosting a Spring Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, April 25, right here at Cove Ridge Marina!

The event will feature southern bluegrass music, local food, and vendors, all set against the backdrop of beautiful Watauga Lake. This is a benefit festival supporting local businesses and communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.

🎶 Bands, food trucks, and vendors will be announced soon.
If you or someone you know would like to participate, please reach out!

Mark your calendar — we’re excited to bring this community-driven event to Cove Ridge.

Boats for Sale

Our rental boats are now listed for sale. Listings can be found on Facebook and on our website.
Feel free to contact the office with any questions.

  • Pads & Landscaping: Please keep pads clear for landscapers. Items on the grass must be moveable, and areas should be kept neat and free of clutter.
