Help Us Support Ernie Reese After Hurricane Helene

We are reaching out to ask for your support for Ernie Reese, a Vietnam Veteran and a long-time member of our Cove Ridge Marina family who retired from the Marina in March of 2022 after years of dedicated service. Hurricane Helene recently devastated our area, destroying Ernie’s home and vehicle in the severe flooding.

To help Ernie rebuild his life, we have launched a GoFundMe campaign. The funds raised will go toward construction costs, materials, and securing a reliable vehicle so that Ernie can get back on his feet. GoFundMe charges only a small processing fee (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction), ensuring that your contributions are put to the best use possible. Funds will be distributed either to Cale Smith and Dean Hagie who are leading the construction efforts or will be directly given to Ernie, depending on the needs at each stage of the rebuilding efforts.
